DON’T JUDGE THE BOOK BY THE COVER
Welcome to our Gofuly Luxury Quartz Leisure Watch review, and yes, this is another affordable Chinese watch review. We had a watch sample which came without packaging before, and now, this one came without a packaging too. Kind of a bummer, but as long as the watch is good, we can turn a blind eye to that. Just how well did this unknown brand Chinese watch fare? Read on to find out.

Decently well built, but has a “light and hollow” feel.
Pretty interesting design, but fails to function that well as a watch.
Affordable, not-bad-not-fantastic watch.
An average not-so-bad watch.

UNBOXING & FIRST IMPRESSIONS
There is nothing much to “unbox” for this watch. Just a plain bubble envelop, and a bunch of foam sheet thing to protect the watch. At least the watch is not damaged, and it came to us in mint condition with the protective stickers still on. That did not leave a good first impression, but a lack of box does not mean a bad watch. We reserve the judgment to the actual watch itself.
BUILD & ERGONOMICS
How did the watch itself fare? Honestly, nothing about it stands out too much. After removing all the protective stickers, we began to see more of the watch.
Even though the watch specifications state that it has a stainless steel encasement. something about it just doesn’t feel very rugged. This watch is surprisingly lightweight, and a few light taps on the back of the watch made very hollow sounds. That aside, the build quality seems to be good enough without any obvious sharp edges or flimsy parts.
Overall, a simple watch with only one knob to adjust the time. Aside from the triangle/rectangle design, there are no intricate patterns on the watch face. We kind of joked that the designer must have missed school very much to put such design on the watch, and people who like geometry are going to love it.
One problem we did find is that the gold watch hands and lines somehow “merge together”, making the time hard to read. Striking red or blue watch hands would have done a much better job. Apart from that, they marked IV (Roman numeral 4) at 6 o’clock. It should have been VI, and we are not sure if this is deliberate… or the designers really made a mistake.
We do not like the material of the watch glass cover. It is neither flat nor curved, but shaped like a diamond. Even though this is kind of different from the others, it is also very annoying under the lights. The crystal watch cover is reflective and that makes it even more difficult to tell the time with “streaks” going across the surface. Plus, it is a fingerprint magnet. If you have oily fingers, this is not the watch that you will want to wear.
This watch is rated water resistant up to 3 bars, which means it can take an occasional splash or dip without any issues. Good to have, but we will still advise to keep it away from moisture whenever possible. It may be water resistant, but it is not condensation proof. Any liquid inside this watch is going to take a toll on the mechanics in due time… Saltwater won’t do this watch any good either way.
Here are more of the micro more technical details of the watch, and this section is for you guys who need the measurements.

This watch sure suffers some design flaws in an attempt to be “different” from the others. But is it so disgustingly bad that you can brand it as “trash”? No. At the very least, this is not a broken watch and it does what it is supposed to.
But for us, we shall give it an “average Joe” rating of 3/5 stars. It is a decently well-built watch, affordably priced, but definitely missing out on that “extra something” factor. It just feels like “you get what you paid for” and nothing more.
Well, if you are one of the people who love the design, there is definitely nothing wrong with this watch and still worth your money.
- Fairly good build quality.
- Decently priced.
- Sorely missing packaging.
- Annoying reflective watch cover, hard to tell time.
